Reed","doi":"10.1107/S2414314624008599","DOIUrl":null,"url":null,"abstract":"<div><div>The title iridium complex is the first X-ray characterized compound including both 1-phenylisoquinoline and 2-phenyl-1<em>H</em>-imidazo[4,5-<em>f</em>][1,10]phenanthroline ligands.</div></div><div><div>The title compound, [Ir(C<sub>15</sub>H<sub>10</sub>N)<sub>2</sub>(C<sub>19</sub>H<sub>12</sub>N<sub>4</sub>)]PF<sub>6</sub>·CH<sub>3</sub>OH, crystallizes in the <em>C</em>2/<em>c</em> space group with one monocationic iridium complex, one hexafluoridophosphate anion, and one methanol solvent molecule of crystallization in the asymmetric unit, all in general positions. The anion and solvent are linked to the iridium complex cation <em>via</em> hydrogen bonding.
