Moreover, AD patients exhibited significantly higher levels of Fusobacteriota and Peptostreptococcaceae and lower levels of Veillonella than the MCI and control groups. In conclusion, a high abundance of Fusobacteria at various levels (i.e., phylum, class, family, and genus levels) may serve as a biomarker for AD.
