These may lead to error diagnosis.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>This paper proposed an automatic follicle detection system for identifying PCOS in the ovary using IWO. The performance of IWO is improved in Modified Invasive Weed Optimization (MIWO). This algorithm imitates the biological weeds' behavior. The MIWO is employed to obtain the optimal threshold by maximizing the between-class variance of the modified Otsu method.
