Therefore, this work employed a ball-on-disc tribometer to evaluate friction and wear properties of VNbTa alloy at various temperatures. It was surprisingly found that, at 800 °C, the alloy exhibits exceptional tribological performance with the coefficient of friction (COF) of 0.13 and wear rate of 3.9 × 10<sup>−6</sup> mm<sup>3</sup>/Nm.
