The Influence of Hydrocarbon Resins on the Properties of Polyisobutylene-Based Hot-Melt Adhesives
In the work, the influence of the content of hydrocarbon resins on physicomechanical and adhesive properties of hot-melt adhesives based on polyisobutylene has been studied. Hydrocarbon resins of Hikorez A1100S and Hikorez R1100S grade were used as research objects, which were introduced into a composition consisting of polyisobutylene of SDG-8450 grade, styrene–ethylene–butylene–styrene rubber of Globalprene 9557 grade, and ethylene–vinyl acetate copolymer of 11306-075 grade. An increase in the resin content leads to a slight decrease in the strength of the compositions and an increase in relative elongation. In addition, studied resins effectively increase the adhesion of the composition to a Mylar film. The stickiness of the composition decreases with increasing resin content.
