Genome-wide association studies (GWASs) identified maternal genetic loci (e.g., <em>ADAMTS8</em>, NPR1, and <em>COTL1</em>) associated with HMM implicated with asthma and atopy, notably <em>Lawsonella</em> and alpha-diversity.
