In this review, we aimed to thoroughly summarize current evidence from original research about the effects of SGLT2i use on MASLD. Almost all discussed studies advocate using SGLT2i in MASLD because of their beneficial effects. It includes the loss of body weight, which is beneficial per se, and the improvement in hepatic parameters. Most importantly, steatosis reduction has been observed in patients using SGLT2i.
