The serration bands tend to straighten at a cutting speed of 125 m/min, which is the main cause of the chips being straightened without tangling for both coated tools. TiSiVN coated tool accounts for higher chip sliding velocity due to the generation of lubricious phases, whereas the higher V for uncoated tool indicates high tool wear at the highest cutting speed of 125 m/min. Further, r and tend to have an inverse relationship with V with 125 m/min cutting speed remaining an exception due to severe changes in tool wear dynamics.
