Moreover, the two binuclear complexes Pt<sub>2</sub>L2 and Pt<sub>2</sub>L3 could not be isolated, but Pt<sub>2</sub>L3 was isolated and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD). Complexes PtL1H, PtL2H, and Pt<sub>2</sub>L1 exhibited phosphorescence in N<sub>2</sub>-degassed dichloromethane (DCM) solution at 563 nm, 656 nm, and 624 nm, respectively. Also, Pt<sub>2</sub>L1 exhibited triplet emission at 553 nm in a 2 wt% PMMA film, with the highest <em>Ф</em> of 63 % and <em>τ</em> of 23.8 μs. Moreover, complexes PtL1H and Pt<sub>2</sub>L1 were deposited on quartz plates to monitor formic acid vapor and acetic acid vapor. The plates that were covered with PtL1H exhibited phosphorescent quenching in both formic acid and acetic acid. This includes synthetic chemistry, coordination chemistry, organometallic chemistry, bioinorganic chemistry, and solid-state and materials chemistry. Papers should be significant pieces of work, and all new compounds must be appropriately characterized. The inclusion of single-crystal X-ray structural data is strongly encouraged, but papers reporting only the X-ray structure determination of a single compound will usually not be considered. Papers on solid-state or materials chemistry will be expected to have a significant molecular chemistry component (such as the synthesis and characterization of the molecular precursors and/or a systematic study of the use of different precursors or reaction conditions) or demonstrate a cutting-edge application (for example inorganic materials for energy applications). Papers dealing only with stability constants are not considered.
