Adverse drug reactions associated with dapagliflozin include diabetic ketoacidosis, fungal infections, and increased blood glucose concentrations. However, abnormal uterine bleeding is not a known side effect of dapagliflozin. We report a 75-year-old Chinese woman with dilated cardiomyopathy and chronic heart failure who experienced abnormal uterine bleeding while taking dapagliflozin. Notably, cessation of dapagliflozin administration resulted in the disappearance of uterine bleeding. These findings suggest that dapagliflozin possesses additional potential mechanisms, but these mechanisms require further investigation.
