Incorporating nanomaterials and biomarkers are explored for heightened sensitivity and specificity in oral cancer detection. The discussion critically evaluates the challenges in current diagnostic methods for oral cancer and underscores the potential of advanced biosensors in overcoming these limitations. Emphasis is placed on the amalgamation of artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms for robust data analysis, further refining diagnostic accuracy. This review highlights the transformative impact of advanced biosensor technologies on early-stage oral cancer diagnosis.
