It induces apoptosis via the JNK/SAPK pathway, inhibits cell proliferation, and suppresses metastasis. Structure-activity relationship studies reveal that phenolic groups and a two-carbon bridge are crucial for its efficacy. Additionally, moscatilin shows good bioavailability and a favorable safety profile, with low toxicity to healthy cells. Moscatilin demonstrates considerable potential as an anticancer agent, targeting multiple cancer progression pathways.
