Here, we carried out literature retrieval and collection for the research of ceramic membranes based on the Web of Science. The retrieval strategy was quantitatively evaluated from two dimensions: recall and precision. The distributions of publication time, journal, and related subjects were systematically analyzed. With the help of CiteSpace and VOSviewer, the literature was visually analyzed through the co-occurrence map of authors and the cluster network of keywords. The findings indicate a strong correlation between ceramic membrane research and the field of Chemical Engineering. A core group of authors has emerged as prominent contributors in this area of study. Additionally, there is a notable long-tail effect observed in the application of ceramic membranes.
