It is against this background that this research was carried out for project managers to know how to apply lean construction principles and techniques to deliver their projects without waste, reduce project abandonment and abortion and for effective project delivery. \nMaterial and Methods: The research was carried out using primary and secondary data and subsequently analyzed. The data was presented using tables and charts \nFindings: It was observed that the principles of lean construction which promotes, the elimination of waste and non-value adding activities in processes, to engineering and design is unknown to our construction industries.
