This article reviews a series of articles on deforestation in Mexico to understand how this phenomenon is presented and studied in the country, characterize the methodologies used, and make a comparison with studies about the Sembrando Vida program which generally assert that it promotes deforestation primarily to meet entry requirements, bureaucratic timelines, and economic needs. Research was conducted on the Scopus platform, experiences of the program were reviewed in texts, and semi-structured interviews were carried out. These methods reveal an overviewof implementation challenges for agricultural policies in recent years, the criticism of agricultural activities by conservationists, and the varied reception of the Sembrando Vida Program throughout the country.
