He wrote six books on this concept. For his significant contribution to the clinical examination of Agni Samstha (seat of Agni/digestive system) and preparation of medicines, he was felicitated with “Brihattrayeeratna” by Arya Vaidya Pharmacy, Coimbatore. He founded a charitable trust in Sangli, Maharashtra. After his demise on December 25, 1995, his legacy is being carried forward by students in various ways. This study aims to delve into the life and works of Vaidya Atmaram Waman Datar Shastri. It sheds light on his invaluable contributions to the field and the enduring relevance of Panchabhautik Chikitsa in Ayurvedic practice.
