The band structure of monolayer graphene includes two main bands that located at points K and K’ considered as quantum bands of electrons and holes. The electronic properties of monolayer graphene include the movement of electrons at very high speed and maintaining their spin. Also, monolayer graphene has unique optical properties and can be used as an optical switcher in electronic devices.
