However, BDD participants displayed poorer performance when viewing inverted faces, indicating difficulties in configural processing.</p><p><strong>Conclusions: </strong>The findings only partially support prior work. However, synthesis of results with previous findings indicates that heterogenous task methodologies may contribute to inconsistent findings.
