Conventional methods have not been able to match the demands which triggered search for an advanced method based on nanotechnology which can fulfil the desired conditions. Magnetic nanomaterials are among the top runners owing to their unique ability to respond in presence of external magnetic field. Due to small size, they can be easily functionalized and surface tuned for targeting specific ions and dyes. One of the biggest advantages of these materials is that they can be easily separated post treatment.
