The Beginnings of Sign Language Research in Italy: A Story of Unexpected Encounters

Abstract:

We'll begin this contribution by describing our own individual entry points and motivations as we stepped into this nascent field of research. We'll then briefly summarize the initial stages of research on Italian Sign Language, which was carried out with many other collaborators.
