The issue of hostages is considered emotional for both Israel and Palestinians. However, not much research has been done on the narrative propagated by both sides during the hostage crisis. This narrative is mainly propagated through various images coming from both sides. The images from each side creates an opposing discourse that needs to be analyzed visually. Thus, an equal number of images were taken from each side and analyzed using Kress and van Leeuwen’s Multi-Modal Discourse Analysis. 摘要
自 2005 年以来,世界目睹了以色列与哈马斯的战争,战争的主要高潮是人质危机。人质问题被认为是以色列和巴勒斯坦双方的情感问题。然而,对于双方在人质危机期间所宣扬的叙事方式,研究并不多。这种说法主要是通过双方的各种图像传播的。双方的图像形成了一种对立的话语,需要对其进行直观分析。 因此,我们从每一方获取了同等数量的图片,并使用 Kress 和 van Leeuwen 的多模式话语分析法进行了分析。研究结果表明,哈马斯试图通过各种宣传品来塑造自己的良好形象,而以色列则试图通过向媒体提供的宣传品来塑造哈马斯的负面形象。
