Sharing the Practices of International Models of Work of Agro-information and Consulting Centers
The 21st century is characterized by the development of new research innovations and technologies in agriculture which is ultimately aimed at overcoming the poverty of the world population and solving the food problem. Agricultural information plays a major role in overcoming this problem which is considered as an essential source of agriculture where the government, policymakers, decision-makers, researchers, teachers, students, scientists, managers, and farmers are the potential users (Zaman, 2002). The work deals with the study of the models of information-consulting centers in developed countries. It highlights the coordinated work of farmers, consulting services, and researchers which is shown by their mutual cooperation, sharing of research results with farmers, introduction of innovation, and a unified vision. In the above target groups (farmer-extensionist-scientistresearcher), we studied the current situation in Georgia, as a result of which gaps were identified, which prevents open, transparent, and effective cooperation between them, and mutual exchange of information and knowledge. Based on international experiences, we have proposed a model and recommendations that will contribute to the improvement of the country's agro-information systems and the effective work of the agricultural sector.
