The hypothesis presented here postulates the following. 1. There exist continuous lateral protein-protein interactions (bonds) all over the thylakoid membrane. 2. Lateral protein bonds are subdivided into two independent groups - lateral bonds of outer and inner membrane leaflets. 3.
