A Dynamic Vibration Absorber with Adjustable Stiffness
This article is devoted to the development of a dynamic vibration absorber as a system in which an air spring moves between guides of a given shape perpendicular to their axis of symmetry. The shape of the guides is determined from the condition that the characteristic of the dynamic absorber is linear, which is equivalent to a spring with a given stiffness. The main disadvantage of most modern dynamic absorbers is that they are effective when operating only at a certain frequency of the driving force acting on a protected object. With a small change in this frequency, the amplitude of the protected object can increase many times over. This article proves that, by changing the designed pressure in the air spring of the proposed absorber, it is possible to get a given stiffness, at which it is effective at different frequencies of the driving force.
