Statistical analysis showed significant differences in the infection rates of <i>Blastocystis</i> spp. among the different sampling sites (<i>p</i> &lt; 0.05) and age groups (<i>p</i> &lt; 0.05). Four <i>Blastocystis</i> spp. subtypes (ST6, ST7, ST10, and ST23) were identified. The infection rates of the zoonotic subtypes, ST6 and ST7, were 3.2% (20/617) and 22.2% (137/617), respectively.
