STUDY OF THE COMPOSITION OF AUXILARY SUBSTANCES WHICH ARE BEEN RESPONSIBLE FOR CONDUCT OF PROLONGED (MODIFIED) ACTION OF MEDICINES

Abstract. Introduction. Realization of action of medicines, including prolonged and modified, depends on composition of auxiliary substances in a medicinal form. Aim. Study of the composition of auxilary substances which are been responsible for conduct of prolonged (modified) action of medicines. Methods. Content analysis, system analysis, documental analysis. Results. Hydrophilic and inert components are prevailing among auxiliary substances of prolonged (modified) solid oral medicinal products (SOMP) presented in the State Register of Ukraine. Hydrophobic substances and substances, soluble at the defined values of рН, are being in less. Auxiliary substances of prolonged (modified) SOMP are presented by the derivatives of Cellulose, Ethyleneglycol, Acrylic acid, Pyrrolidone, Alginic acid, inorganics and wax-like components. Gummi and hydrocarbons are also being in the composition of prolonged SOMP. Conclusion. The nomenclature of auxiliary substances that are in the composition of prolonged (modified) SOMP has differences. Certain ratios of auxiliary components in the composition of SOMP are providing adjusting of time of release of medicinal substance from medicinal form.
