The complicated geopolitical situation due to Russia's special military operation in Ukraine is accompanied by serious risks to the lives of residents of different regions of Novorossiya and Ukraine, especially children, forcing many of them to become migrants. The article examines the results of sociological and socio-psychological research on the implementation and evaluation of the effectiveness of a comprehensive program of leisure and rehabilitation measures for the social adaptation of these children in the host Russian community, using the example of a temporary residence for children – forced migrants in the Moscow region. It is established that during the 2022/2023 academic year the state of their physical, social and mental health of children (boys and girls 12–17 years old) has significantly improved on the base of various types and forms of physical, intellectual, artistic and aesthetic development provided to them. Children not only socially and psychologically adapted to the new conditions of the host Russian community, but also developed their knowledge, skills and abilities, improved their self-esteem and optimism in the conditions of the host Russian society.
