The review considered the scientific publications from renowned scientific resource bases from 2018 until the end of 2022. The main focus was to identify the applied empirical methods, considered turning process performances, turning process parameters, material of cutting tool and workpiece, type of turning operation (single or multi pass turning) and a number of performed experimental trials upon which mathematical model was developed.
