A BNCC coloca como dever da Geografia enquanto componente curricular o de desenvolver competências e habilidades que promovam o raciocínio geográfico partindo da análise de uma situação geográfica, proporcionando aos alunos compreenderem a espacialidade do fenômeno, ao passo que se tornem capazes de solucionar os problemas oriundos da relação entre sociedade e natureza. Mas para que isso aconteça, as aulas de Geografia devem partir de metodologias que promovam o protagonismo do aluno e a aplicação da teoria, vista em sala de aula, na resolução dos desafios presentes no cotidiano desse aluno. Nessa direção, o presente trabalho utiliza o Estudo do Meio como metodologia no Ensino de Geografia, objetivando efetivar o que pede a BNCC, partindo da análise do fenômeno Dengue, realizada com alunos de uma escola pública da capital piauiense. Desse modo, este trabalho parte da pesquisa teórica baseada em autores que se ocupam em discutir o Ensino de Geografia, o Estudo do Meio, da pesquisa documental com a análise da própria BNCC Geografia; e da pesquisa de campo que mostra a metodologia escolhida por este trabalho em ação. Conclui-se que o Estudo do Meio promove o que pede a BNCC Geografia no tocante ao desenvolvimento de habilidades e competências, proporcionando ao aluno ver sentido e significado nos conteúdos geográficos a partir da aplicação destes na resolução de problemas. From theory to practice: the BNCC Geography applied to the study of the environment Abstract The BNCC places as a duty of Geography as a curricular component to develop skills and abilities that promote geographic reasoning from the analysis of a geographical situation, providing students to understand the spatiality of the phenomenon, while becoming able to solve problems arising from the relationship between society and nature. But for this to happen, Geography classes must start from methodologies that promote the student's protagonist and the application of the theory seen in the classroom in the resolution of challenges present in the student's daily life. In this direction, this paper uses the Study of the Environment as a methodology in Geography Teaching, aiming to implement what the BNCC requires, based on the analysis of the Dengue phenomenon, conducted with students from a public school in the capital of Piaui. Thus, this work is based on theoretical research based on authors who discuss the Teaching of Geography, the Study of the Environment, documentary research with the analysis of the BNCC Geography; and the field research that shows the methodology chosen by this work in action. It is concluded that the Study of the Environment promotes what the BNCC Geography asks for with regard to the development of skills and competencies, providing the student to see sense and meaning in geographic content from the application of these in problem solving.
