Blasting is performed at various mining and geological conditions of different mining companies, thus the characteristics of drilling and blasting operations can have a significant impact on the detonation rate of the borehole charge, which is one of its most critical characteristics that affects the blast quality. Detonation velocity depends on many factors, the main of which include the quality of explosives preparation and their components, the density, diameter and height of the borehole charge, the booster parameters and its location within the borehole charge.
