Under identical conditions, the photocatalytic efficiency of the ZnAl-PW<sub>12</sub> catalyst was found to be much higher than that of calcined ZnAl-LDH, indicating the promoting effect of PW<sub>12</sub>O<sub>40</sub><sup>3-</sup> ion.
