The Role of E-Health Service in the Efficiency of the Healthcare System in Azerbaijan

Electronic health care is one of the most effective and developing technologies for the health care system. Electronic medical services are an important factor in the Azerbaijani healthcare system in recent times. These services help to provide more effective, efficient, and quality service through the application of information technologies in the field of healthcare, as in many other fields. Through electronic health services, information such as health care tracking, electronic medical history, and laboratory results are stored in electronic files and managed more quickly and efficiently. Electronic medical service is based on the use of information and communication technologies for the improvement and organization of health services, digitalization of medical documents, creation and development of medical information systems, and automation of other operations. Important fundamentals such as security and efficient use are also expected when implementing this system. E-health services also help to reduce negative impacts on the healthcare system. Through e-health services, healthcare professionals can access information more quickly and efficiently, which improves the quality of healthcare. This study examined the role of the application of the e-Health system in Azerbaijan in the effectiveness of medical services, as well as the collection and storage of data; improved relationships and coordination; data exchange, and analysis; it has proven effective in protecting patient data.
