Medical service of railways during the Great Patriotic War

Based on statistical data, the analysis of the dynamics of the development of the medical network of the Transport Medical and Sanitary Administration of the People's Commissariat of Railways during the Great Patriotic War was carried out. Summary data on the scale of patient care in outpatient and inpatient medical institutions of the People's Commissariat of Railways are presented. The relatively high-quality level of departmental healthcare of railways is indicated. Sanitary and anti-epidemic activities on the railway are highlighted. The conclusion is made about the significant contribution of railway healthcare to the preservation of life and health of the population.
