Modern environmental history: sources and perspectives

Environmental history became a brand associated with the modern leading level of world humanity. Its interdisciplinary contains vulnerability - tens of researches having different background and attitudes announce their works as belonging to its field. Though this brand is already more than half-century old, there is still no consensus about its subject, goals, tasks and methods. The article presents original view on the sources of described situation and perspectives of crisis overcome.
