POST-CAPITALISM IN THE POLITICAL THEORIES OF THE MODERN LEFT: ORIGINS, MODERNITY, PERSPECTIVES
This analytical review explores the contemporary political theories of the modern left. The subject of the study is the theory of post-capitalism - a set of ideas and currents that analyze the prerequisites for the transformation of capitalism into a new stage of socio-economic relations in perspective. The relevance of the topic is confirmed by the intensifying global crisis that devalues the neoliberal system. Against this background, the problems of further development of world politics and economics become particularly acute. The review targetted to examine the political theories of the contemporary Left through the prism of their view on the development of post-capitalist formation, as well as to compare similar views in classical Marxists. The study shows a trend of crisis in contemporary leftist thought (primarily in the West) and its transformation into anarchism, leftist libertarianism, alterglobalism, etc. Generally speaking, contemporary leftist theorists and activists see the construction of a formation following capitalism through the creation of networks of local communities that have no vertical control. Also, one of the main principles of the new system of relations is the complete abolition of human labour and its replacement by robotic production. The human being is supposed to switch to an Absolute Basic Income, a stable social payment.
