The article analyzes the problem of the literary text, the reasoning of scientists about the text. Differentiation of definitions to the text is given, several types of literary text are considered. In particular, the concept of fiction and popular science literature was described. While a literary text is based on associative-imaginative thinking, a science fiction text is based on logical thinking. According to the work of M.K. Akhmetova, the external and internal form of the text is explained. In addition, it tells about the concept of a text addressed to the recipient.
