Herein, we respond to the main points of the comment, following the order in which they were made. In the comment, Somerville (2023) mentions that “Using a point‐source model of the earthquake source, they find that…”. It should be noted that in our study, we do not explicitly use a point‐source model other than when computing the transverse...
