This study introduces additional considerations for charging behaviors of electric vehicle users within the context of current administrative guidelines, which are predominantly centered around internal combustion engine vehicles and passenger embarkation and disembarkation practices. The research involves an analysis of the electric vehicle charging facility parking space guidelines in the United Kingdom and the United States. It outlines key points and strategies for establishing Korean-specific standards for electric vehicle charging facility parking spaces, taking into account the needs of individuals with mobility impairments, including considerations such as wheelchair turning radius, the positioning of charging ports relative to the vehicle, and mobility between the vehicle and the charging unit. In this study, we propose technical guidelines for electric vehicle charging facility parking spaces, considering the unique requirements of individuals with mobility impairments.
