A fully integrated 2.5 GHz VCO in SMIC 0.18-μm 1P6M CMOS technology is designed. The post simulation result shows that the power consumption is 8 mW at a supply voltage of 1.8 V, and the phase noise of the proposed VCO is −120.1 dBc/Hz at 1MHz offset from the carrier at 2.408 GHz.
