L'autorité partagée pour mieux décider à bord du Rafale
Designing the next generation fighter aircraft requires more than just a techno centered capability approach. This study offers an exploratory anthropocentric research aiming at establishing the fundamental principles of an aircraft architecture that would put its operator in optimal conditions to make the right decisions.
As future missions become more and more complex and because the process timeframe keeps getting shorter, when analyzing the cognitive mechanisms, the possibility to share the decision authority between the human and the machine has to be envisaged.
Crewmembers interviews allowed to identify and to flight simulate improvement opportunities. The first results yield a sensible reduction in the feeling of stress due to difficulty leading to overload and an increased serenity thanks to a better anticipation gained with automatic functioning.
Moreover, the progress in measuring physiological changes could make the transfer more seamless when sharing the load, still considered with a unique artificial intelligence approach.
