It contributes significantly in generating employment opportunities and sustaining livelihood to the weavers. In the present study, an analysis is done on the socio-economic profile of handloom weavers and problems of this industry in Zuangtui Handloom Cluster that lies at the outskirt of Aizawl City, Mizoram. This study is conducted on the basis of both primary and secondary data sources.
