The ecological footprint as an assesment tool of the supply chain environmental performance case of a retail trade Tunisian company
Today it is necessary for every country to promote the sustainability of its supply chains. In the same context, this paper uses the Ecological Footprint tool into developing an evaluating process to estimate and improve the environmental performance of Tunisian supply chains. Several Ecological Footprint studies until today were focused on a national scale. However, this one examines the retailer's case as the last component of the supply chain, in order to evaluate and ameliorate its environmental performance, on a sustainably perspective. Such a tool, is standardized by the Global Footprint Network and it is based on the conversion of consumptions and emissions in biologically surfaces.
