Determination of Blood Groups Based on GUI of Matlab
A blood transfusion is necessary action in managing of blood transfusion processes from one person to another. Currently, these tests are performed by specialists or laboratory technician. Because of manual test procedure and many different tests are expected to be carried out daily, There is a definite possibility of personal error in completing the blood groups test. In this work, graphical user interface (GUI) in matlab program is used to classify a blood group and to determine Rh factor. The proposal methods includes the same primary steps of laboratory methods of taking blood samples using lancet and treat them by adding the ordinary kits for blood groups on slides, then taking slide picture using mobile HD camera and GUI of Matlab in determination blood groups and RH factor. The results show that the proposed system achieved blood groups detection and Rh factor test via special algorithms. Furthermore, 99.2% accuracy by using125 - volunteer is achieved in blood groups detection with relative the traditional method. The treatment of sample picture by the suggested matlab is needed for 1.5-1.55 seconds to get the result, therefore this method can be suggested to accomplish routine blood groups and Rh factor tests with high throughput. Our findings demonstrate that in terms of accuracy and execution time, this work is performing perfect with neglectable personal error.
