Evaluation of a plasmon nano-cavity laser employing CdSe as the gain material
Simulations of gold/silver vias of different diameters terminating on CdSe are shown to have dipole resonances matched to the bandgap of CdSe. Using simplified models, a threshold carrier concentration required to achieve lasing is estimated.
