Information technologies affect all areas of the educational process. The view of presentation and provision of information is changing. Likewise, the way of communication between students and teachers is changing. The teacher gets into a position where he is no longer the main source of information. The student, on the other hand, is a source of influence on environmental changes that correspond to his current knowledge and abilities. All this affects the requirements for a modern teaching system. Automating teaching using intelligent information technologies is becoming a complex process. To ensure the quality of this process, it is necessary to employ many specialists from various fields. The overall optimization task determined during the teaching process contains many sub-tasks. These tasks combine various scientific branches, information technologies and experts necessary for improving the quality of the education process. The introduction of intelligent teaching systems increases the quality of education. The quality of education is influenced by the integration of various processes taking place in the teaching process. The work deals with different perspectives on education systems at the same time. It describes the basic characteristics of the teaching process using information technologies.
