Fibre Optic Microwave Links Using Image Canceling Photodiode Mixing
This paper proposes fiber optic link configurations for use in microwave transmission. Image canceling photodiode mixing links utilizing the combination of microwave components and optical devices can suppress the image fiequency without filters. These configurations are experimentally investigated at microwave frequencies and the image frequency suppression is successfully demonstrated.
