A case of acinic cell carcinoma in the palate is reported here. Acinic cell carcinoma is a relatively rare type of adenocarcinoma of salivary gland origin. The patient, an 83-year-old male, complained of swelling in the palate. A red soft mass approximately 8 mm in diameter was noticed in the right maxillary first molar region. Histopathological diagnosis of the surgically removed specimen was acinic cell carcinoma. The tumor had invaded the maxilla. Surgical excision with a border of normal tissue seemed to be an effective form of treatment. The patient exhibited good clinical recovery without recurrence or metastasis.
