Wave excitation in laminates by a piezoelectric transducer with intermediate layered acoustic metamaterials with periodic arrays of cracks
The application of layered acoustic metamaterials with planar voids or strip-like cracks for wave energy manipulation is investigated. Mathematical and computer models based on the boundary integral equation method and the finite element method are employed for describing dynamic behaviour of the such periodic structures mounted at the surface of elastic plate.
