The results of this study indicate that the majority of nurses have an adequate transcultural nursing competency (74.5%) and nurses applying therapeutic communication techniques in moderation (49.1%). This research found a relationship between transcultural nursing competencies and therapeutic communication of nurses with p-value = 0.001, and r = 0.320. The differences in culture and language cause a low correlation between transcultural nursing competencies and nurse therapeutic communication.
