However, by controlling the packet routing from input to output changes the non-blocking characteristic. Some routing algorithms have been proposed by some researchers to approximate the non-blocking nature. This paper discusses comparisons of looping and input-output routing algorithms on 8 $\\mathrm{x}\\ 8$ Benes switching network as the base of many switching devices. The comparison analysis shows that both algorithms successfully routed the incoming packets to their destinations. However, looping algorithm exerts shorter transfer delay compared to the input-output algorithm.
